The trailer for Gerard Butler’s new film MACHINE GUN PREACHER is now available. The movie will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and judging from the trailer we think it will be a successful film.

MACHINE GUN PREACHER tells the story of Sam Childers was a biker, a brawler, a drug dealer who sought redemption in Sudan, turning his rage on warlords who were turning kids into child soldiers.

Tony Curran nominated for The Constellation Awards

Congratulations to our friend Tony Curran for being nominated for The Constellation Awards for his role of Vincent van Goch in Doctor Who. You can see Tony Curran in Wrath of Gods and a very funny scene in the DVD bonus materials where he grabbed the video camera and interviewed Gerry Butler on the viking ship.

Doctor goes up against Doctor in the 2011 Constellation Awards, with both Matt Smith and David Tennant nominated for their role as The Doctor in the Best Male Performance – Television category.

The Awards, now in their fifth year, are Canada’s premier awards rewarding excellence in science fiction film and television. Because they cover programmes broadcast in 2010, both the Tenth and Eleventh Doctor’s are eligible. Tennant for his performance in The End of Time – Part Two, and Smith for his performance in last year’s Christmas special, A Christmas Carol. David Tennant was given last year’s award for his performance in The Waters of Mars. Also nominated is Tony Curran for his portrayal of Vincent Van Gogh in Vincent and the Doctor.

Karen Gillan is nominated for Best Female Performance – Television for her role in Amy’s Choice and faces Katherine Jenkins nominated for A Christmas Carol.

Doctor Who is also nominated in the Best Science Fiction Television Series category, a category it has one three times before although it lost out in last year’s awards to Supernatural, which has also been nominated for 2010.

Murray Gold earns a nominaton for Doctor Who’s music in the Best Technical Accomplishment category, with Steven Moffat and Richard Curtis both being nominated for Best Overall 2010 Science Fiction Film or Television Script, Moffat for The Eleventh Hour and Curtis for Vincent and the Doctor.

The first version of Wrath of Gods DVD has sold out. We are about to release a new version. Here are four DVD cover ideas that our designers have been working on. Yes, big surprise… all of the ideas use a picture of Mr. Gerard Butler. When Gerry played the lead in Beowulf & Grendel he had already made the Phantom of the Opera but it had not been released. The mega hit movie 300 came along a couple of years later and then ps. I Love You, Nim’s Island, RocknRolla and The Ugly Truth. By now Gerard Butler has become a huge star and I’m quite sure that a film like Wrath of Gods will never be made again.

All I can say is that GB fans know how to have fun. We had two screenings of Wrath of Gods at the GB Fan Convention in Washington, DC. The convention actually took place across the river from the capital, at a hotel in Old Town Alexandria. Both screenings were packed and we hada great Q&A after both screenings. It was great to meet all those people who had been among the first to buy the DVD and still, there was a long line of people when they arranged for the signing session. These people know how to have fun.
